PROCESS

Udyog Aadhaar (BIS) Registration - An Overview


PROCESS

BIS Certification can be applied for either offline or online. The Instructions Below Are For Applicants Who Want To Apply Via Offline Mode;

  • Download the perceived application form from the BIS portal.
  • Complete the application and certify to the above- mentioned documents.
  • Send the applicant & application and attested documents to the BIS office by mail.
  • Officials from the BIS will begin the usual evaluation process once they receive the application.
  • Following document verification, a BIS officer will perform on-site inspections, following which a complete report will be generated.
  • The BIS personnel then proceed to the production facility to conduct sample testing. Depending on the type of product, the sample may be examined on-site or by BIS-certified labs.
  • Following the review procedure, a full report will be created, and the certificate will be issued to the applicant.

Documents Required for BIS Registration

For the issuance of BIS certification to the applicant, BIS requires the following papers:

A self-certified copy of any of the above documents attesting to the firm legal status:

I. Registration granted by the RoC, or registration provided by the State Government authority/trade licence, or
II. Registration granted by the RoC.
III. Only in the case of a partnership firm, a partnership deed is required.
IV. In the case of a proprietorship firm, the CA issues a certificate.

Self-certified copy of any of the following documents (not older than three months) verifying the firm & premises:

I. State government authority registration/trade licence, or
II. Income Tax assessment order, or
III. GST registration, or
IV. Insurance Policy, or
V. Utility Bill, or
VI. Property tax receipt, or
VII. Lease Deed agreement, or
VIII. Rent agreement with last rent receipt, or
IX. Bank statement confirming the business location

Any one of the following documents like identity proof of signatory on the application:

  • Agreement printed on the non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs 100 in the standard format.

REGISTRATION

 1) You are required to select the product quality as directed in the ISI.
2) Filling the Application Form -Once you choose the product code then you have to file the                 registration.
3) Inspection of the Factory premise
4) Collection of Test Report- Get lab test report of the sample done by the inspection team and         Submit the lap report to BIS.
5) Issuance of ISI registration certificate
